This Creamy Basil & Chive Yogurt Dressing with Lemon and Honey is creamy, light, savory, and a little bit sweet. It’s super easy with all ingredients going into the blender, so in just a few minutes, you have a homemade dressing. I kid you not, I have been putting this Yogurt Dressing on everything! It’s delicious on any salad, great for drizzling over roasted veggies, delicious over steak, chicken, or fish, and amazing for dipping fries into!!
I think my very first homemade salad dressing was a Thousand Island variation with mayo, ketchup, and pickle relish. That one recipe held me over for years. But, then my palate – and my growing butt – asked for something a little different, a little healthier. From there, I started making various vinaigrettes and still make these really simple dressings all the time today. But I still crave CREAMY dressings, so this Yogurt Dressing is a delicious alternative to mayo-based dressings. It’s also such a great way to use up herbs from your garden or leftover after a recipe.

Simple Equipment to Use
This recipe is incredibly easy using a blender for blending the ingredients into a smooth and creamy dressing. You can use an Immersion blender if you have a tall narrow container to blend the ingredients in so that the blender is fully immersed. You could also use a food processor for this, such as this mini food processor.

This is one of my favorite recipes. I watch the Dijon though, adding it by taste as well as the lemon. How long does this last in the refrigerator?

Hi Donna! Thanks, I love this one too 🙂 Assuming you are using very fresh ingredients, if you store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator it should last 5-7 days.
What do you like this dressing best with?
