Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 1 Large Yellow Onion, diced
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Steak Seasoning (I used Trader Joes. Use your favorite blend.)
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Yellow Mustard
  • 2 28 ounce cans of Original Baked Beans
  • Dash Cayenne Pepper to taste

Instructions

Prep-Ahead Steps

  • Dice the onion. Mince the garlic.

Cooking Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F degrees. Preheat a dutch oven or large high sided skillet over high heat.
  • Add the ground beef, bacon, and onion. Break up the ground beef using a spatula. Add in the garlic, and steak seasoning to the ground beef and then mix everything together and spread out into a single layer. Cook until the beef is cooked through.
  • While the beef is cooking, you can drain the beans, as you do not need the sauce.
  • When the beef is cooked, add the brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard. Mix to combine. Then add the drained beans and a dash of cayenne pepper (to taste). Stir everything together, cover and place in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
  • After the 40 minutes, serve and enjoy!
