Feel good serving this healthy meal that's created in one pan. This hearty fall and seasonal dinner is easy to make and will be filling with so much flavor. A simple buttery sage-filled sauce is made with all of the goodness from the chicken, butternut squash, and shallots.
There's so many reasons to enjoy butternut squash in your meals! Check out my tips on how to prepare this veggie. Butternut squash is loaded with Vitamin A. It is also a great source of Vitamin C. Vitamin E, B1, B3, B6, B9, Magnesium, Potassium, and Manganese are also found in butternut squash.

Prepare the shallot and be sure to separate the strips.
Continue prepping the ingredients to get dinner ready quick. Sage will be cut into strips and garlic minced. Cut the lemon into 4 wedges.
After patting the chicken dry, season the chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder, using your fingers to make sure its all coated well.
Cook the chicken until golden on each side, then remove and cook the squash and onions about 5 min. Now add the chicken back because it all goes into the oven.
Once the chicken and squash are done baking, place them on a serving platter so you can use the skillet to prepare the delicious sage and garlic sauce. Pour the flavorful sauce over the top and enjoy!
