CHEESY HASH BROWN CASSEROLE WITHOUT SOUP

INGREDIENTS - Shredded hash browns - Butter - Milk  - Broth - Sour cream - Sharp cheddar cheese - Scallions - Flour - Oregano - Salt, pepper

Create a simple roux to start this side dish so that you can skip the canned soup. 

Once the thickened roux is ready, add that to a casserole baking dish and  stir in the sour cream, hash browns, cheese and seasonings. 

Let the dish bake for 45 minutes covered. Then remove the aluminum foil for another 10 minutes to bake golden brown and make crispy edges along the top.
