LOW CARB MUSHROOM SAUCE WITHOUT CREAM

INGREDIENTS - White button mushrooms - Onion - Garlic - Dried thyme - Vegetable broth - Salt, pepper - Cornstarch - Milk

Slice the mushrooms, garlic and onions. 

To a hot skillet with olive oil, stir in the garlic, onions and mushrooms. Sprinkle in the dried thyme. Keep the mushrooms as a single layer to get them cooking evenly. 

Add in the cooked pasta of choice (I love fusilli) and some fresh basil before serving!

Pour the vegetable broth into the mushroom mixture.

The cornstarch mixture gets added next and the mixture will begin to thicken.  When it's to the consistency you want, serve it over a protein or a bed of pasta!
