INGREDIENTS – White button mushrooms – Onion – Garlic – Dried thyme – Salt & pepper – Vegetable broth – Cornstarch – Milk

You can make a thick and silky sauce without cream in it - let me show you! This sauce is chock full of mushrooms and pairs well with your favorite proteins.  The sauce is gluten free and low carb - so feel free to enjoy every delicious bite!

SLICE UP THE MUSHROOMS, THEN DICE THE ONIONS AND MINCE YOUR GARLIC TO GET ALL THE VEGGIES PREPPED.

ADD YOUR VEGGIES TO THE SKILLET AND LET THEM START THE BROWNING PROCESS. GIVE THEM TIME ON EACH SIDE AND SPRINKLE IN YOUR SALT AND PEPPER.

PREPARE THE CORNSTARCH SLURRY WHILE THE MUSHROOMS SAUTE.

DEGLAZE THE SKILLET WITH YOUR VEGETABLE BROTH. THEN BEGIN TO WHISK IN SMALL AMOUNT OF THE SLURRY, MAKING SURE TO WHISK WELL TO AVOID CLUMPS. THE SAUCE WILL THICKEN QUICKLY.

YOU CAN ADD YOUR PROTEIN BACK TO THE PAN OR SERVE THE MUSHROOM SAUCE OVER YOUR PREPARED FOOD. THIS IS DELICIOUS WITH QUINOA, EGG NOODLES OR RICE EVEN.
