INGREDIENTS – 1 tbsp Salt – 1 tbsp Black Pepper – 1 tbsp Garlic Powder – 1 tbsp Onion Powder – 2 tbsp Smoked Paprika – 1 tbsp Ground Coriander – 1 tbsp Ground Mustard
You will be able to put this seasoning to use for so many things - grilling, broiling, roasting, slow cooking and sauteing. Make this your go-to seasoning for savory, smokey seasoning that's always on hand. It's so easy to make your own blends and customize it so easily.
MAKE A LITTLE OR A LOT, BUT JUST COMBINE ALL THE INGREDIENTS INTO YOUR AIRTIGHT CONTAINER.
You can season any good steak or cut of beef with this blend. Some of my favorites are flank steak, strip steak, skirt steak, or filet mignon.
You can season any chicken, raw or roasted, even leftover rotisserie chicken that you repurpose.
– Spicy – add a little or a lot of chili pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to the mix for some heat. – Italian – add dried oregano and dried basil to this mix for an Italian seasoning blend. You may want to eliminate the paprika as that can take you in a different flavor direction.
– Indian – add curry powder or ground ginger to the mix to take it in an Indian flavor direction. – Mexican – add some chili powder and ground cumin to the mix and use it for ground beef tacos. – Middle Eastern – Try ground cloves or pinch of cinnamon and ground ginger for warmer spice.
Dry spices can last for years in the pantry if sealed in airtight containers. However, they do start to loose their fresh flavor after a year. You can store them in the freezer to keep them fresher for longer.
