Grilling season requires you to try all different kinds of delicious meals on the outdoor grill. These burgers do not disappoint! The smoky, taco flavored ground chicken or turkey is amped up as a burger for a spin on taco flavored foods. Guacamole is delicious topping to any burger. These are a healthy take on a classic summer meal.
Prep the chipotle mayo so the flavors have time to combine. Mix it in a bowl and add it to the fridge until ready to use.
Seasoning the ground chicken is what makes these burgers. Ground chicken or turkey are healthier but tend to be more bland so we want all the seasonings here.
Split the mixture into 6 parts and form them into patties.
You can prepare these patties up to a day ahead of time. Alternatively, you can prepare the mixture, form them into patties and freeze them. They will remain good for a couple of months.
While grilling the burgers, it's time to prepare the guacamole.
Be sure the burgers reach 165 F. This is about 4-5 minutes each side with covering them after they are seared. Be sure to use a thermometer.
